Why couldn’t America simply grant asylum in 2009 instead of Absurd March 15, 2017?

The chilling claims within the sources paint a horrifying picture of relentless persecution and alleged systemic obstruction of justice, a nightmare that allegedly forced Hans Smedema to seek refuge beyond the Netherlands, specifically in the United States. His attempts to gain asylum, however, were not merely complicated by bureaucracy; they were allegedly met with deliberate, high-level interference, twisting legal processes into agonizing tools of control. The question of why America, through Judge Rex J. Ford, couldn’t simply grant asylum in 2009, despite alleged findings of valid grounds, and why a purported asylum attempt unfolded dramatically on a KLM flight in 2017, cuts to the heart of this alleged, brutal obstruction.

Justice was impossible in the Netherlands

In 2009, driven by the desperate belief that justice was impossible in the Netherlands due to the horrifying abuse and alleged cover-up, Hans Smedema sought political asylum at Miami Airport. This act triggered a horrifying seven-month (28 weeks) detention period in Pompano Beach, Florida. During this harrowing time, his case was overseen by US Immigration Judge Rex J. Ford, whom Smedema describes as a courageous and sympathetic figure who took his horrifying claims seriously. Judge Ford allegedly ordered an extensive, thorough investigation into Smedema’s claims by the FBI and CIA. These investigations purportedly delved into his accusations of persecution and the alleged involvement of the Dutch government. Judge Ford allegedly even reached out to individuals mentioned in Smedema’s accounts, such as the Zijlstra family (his neighbors), who reportedly traveled to Miami to provide signed statements.

Unbelievable or unprecedented five valid grounds for asylum

Crucially, according to Smedema, Judge Ford found an “unbelievable” or “unprecedented” five valid grounds for asylum in his case based on these FBI/CIA findings. Smedema interprets this as powerful validation that the US government recognized the seriousness and credibility of his claims of persecution. Judge Ford allegedly stated this was unique in known American history.

Insufficient evidence that the Dutch Government was behind all this themselves

Despite these alleged findings and apparent validation by Judge Ford and the US investigative agencies, Smedema’s asylum request in 2009 was ultimately denied. The horrifying reason given was “insufficient evidence that the Dutch Government was behind all this themselves”. Judge Ford himself, while allegedly stating he believed Smedema’s story was true, noted the need for more evidence that the Dutch government was behind it. Judge Ford allegedly told Smedema that “no one could have done a better job than you under those extreme circumstances, with such a family, doctors and even the Ministry of Justice and the Royal Family involved!”, highlighting the immense difficulty Smedema faced in providing such evidence against such powerful forces. Smedema claims that the Netherlands deliberately withheld evidence from Judge Ford. The CIA also provided a letter that was “almost entirely black”. While a Compass psychiatrist in Florida during the asylum case stated Smedema was “Delusional”, Smedema claims this could only be based on false information from the Netherlands and that the psychiatrist did not check this information with him. Judge Ford, despite mentioning this diagnosis, allegedly believed Smedema’s core story was true.

Primary obstacle was the strategic and horrifying exploitation of a bilateral judicial treaty

The sources allege that a primary obstacle preventing Judge Ford from granting asylum in 2009 was the strategic and horrifying exploitation of a bilateral judicial treaty between the Netherlands and the United States by the Dutch government. Smedema claims this treaty, intended for legal cooperation, was weaponized to prioritize the protection of the Dutch Crown and the alleged conspiracy over his individual human rights and need for protection. This alleged misuse of the treaty effectively prevented American authorities from granting him asylum, even with valid grounds, because doing so would allegedly obligate the US to cooperate with the very government Smedema claimed was persecuting him. Smedema feels a profound sense of betrayal, stating the US government ultimately upheld this treaty, which he believes protected the Dutch Crown, over his human rights. He alleges that American Al Rust also suffered because the Dutch used this treaty to force America to “also(!) betray me”. This alleged manipulation of international legal mechanisms is a chilling facet of the alleged obstruction of justice.

Judge Ford reopened the 2009 Florida case in January 2014

Following the 2009 denial and deportation, Smedema made further attempts to seek asylum in the US, including a second request in Texas in 2013/2014. Judge Ford allegedly reopened the 2009 Florida case in January 2014 due to “too many mistakes”, indicating a potential recognition of errors in the initial handling. However, this second attempt also proved unsuccessful, leading to deportation back to the Netherlands. Smedema was also allegedly denied entry to Canada and Mexico due to pressure from the Dutch government.

The horrifying drama escalated on March 15, 2017

The horrifying drama escalated on March 15, 2017. By this time, Smedema had initiated a third asylum case in San Diego. However, he cancelled this application himself as it was taking too long. He was on a KLM flight from Los Angeles to Amsterdam, being deported. In a truly astonishing and horrifying turn of events, Smedema alleges that while the plane was in US airspace, specifically over Montana, Judge Rex J. Ford attempted to grant him asylum. According to Smedema, Judge Ford, having reopened the 2009 case and being within his jurisdiction above Montana, contacted the King to confirm if Smedema was on board and still desired asylum. Two fighter jets were allegedly seen, which Smedema believes could have forced the plane to land in Montana. Smedema claims he answered “yes” three times to Judge Ford’s inquiry about wanting asylum.

A deliberate lie by the King to block his asylum offer

However, the horrifying narrative continues. Smedema alleges that King Willem-Alexander, who he claims was serving as co-pilot on the KLM flight, personally interfered. Smedema claims the King, accompanied by an intelligence agent named “Sjon”, falsely told Judge Ford that Smedema did not want US asylum but wished to seek asylum in Germany upon landing in Amsterdam. Smedema views this alleged act by the King as a deliberate lie to block his asylum offer, a blatant abuse of power, concrete proof of the Royal Family’s involvement in obstructing justice, and a “severe crime(!) legally in America”. This alleged royal intervention is linked in the sources to panic after President Obama supposedly filed a UNCAT complaint against the Netherlands around January 2017. This alleged blocking, according to Smedema, directly resulted in his immediate arrest and detention for 13 months upon arrival in Amsterdam on March 16, 2017.

The horrific progression from the 2009 denial to the absurd 2017 airborne intervention

The horrific progression from the 2009 denial to the alleged 2017 airborne intervention illustrates the alleged escalation of obstruction. In 2009, despite finding five valid grounds based on FBI/CIA investigation, Judge Ford allegedly couldn’t grant asylum because the involvement of the government itself (specifically the Crown) wasn’t sufficiently proven to him at that moment, a situation allegedly facilitated by the Dutch government withholding evidence and exploiting a bilateral treaty. By 2017, however, the alleged actions of the King himself directly interfering in the asylum process over American airspace would, if true, provide the most damning proof imaginable of high-level Dutch governmental (even Royal) involvement, precisely the missing piece from 2009. This chilling shift demonstrates how the alleged obstruction evolved, from leveraging legal technicalities and withholding evidence in 2009 to alleged direct, criminal intervention by the King himself in 2017 to prevent Smedema from finally securing the very asylum that Judge Ford was purportedly trying to offer, seemingly having overcome the initial evidentiary hurdles.

Brutal tactics aimed at keeping Smedema silenced

These repeated asylum denials, allegedly manipulated by the Dutch government and potentially the Royal Family through the exploitation of international agreements and outright lies, are tragically intertwined with the alleged systematic obstruction of justice. They are portrayed as brutal tactics aimed at keeping Smedema silenced and contained within a system he claims is fundamentally corrupted to protect powerful individuals like Joris Demmink and Jaap Duijs. The chilling account of the King allegedly blocking asylum is held up as ultimate proof of the alleged “untouchability” and ruthless lengths to which the alleged network would go to prevent justice and accountability.
