Smedema’s Allegations of Medical Abuse and Conspiracy

Hans Smedema alleges a series of forced medical interventions were used against him as part of a larger conspiracy to silence him and discredit his claims of abuse and corruption within the Dutch government. These alleged interventions primarily revolve around the administration of ketamine, electroshock therapy, and the misdiagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses. Smedema believes these medical manipulations were orchestrated to control his behavior, suppress his memories, and portray him as mentally unstable, ultimately undermining his credibility and hindering his pursuit of justice.

Ketamine Drugging:

Smedema consistently claims that he was secretly drugged with ketamine for an extended period, starting as early as 1973 [1-5]. He alleges his wife, Wies, administered the drug daily, hidden in vitamin pills or wine, under the direction of Jaap Duijs, his neighbor and alleged co-conspirator [1-5]. He further implicates the Drachten Police in supplying the ketamine to Duijs [1-5].

Smedema attributes a range of debilitating effects to the alleged ketamine drugging:

  • Reduced IQ and Cognitive Impairment: Smedema asserts that the long-term, low-dose ketamine administration significantly lowered his IQ, impacting his judgment, analytical abilities, and decision-making, particularly in financial matters [1-10]. He describes himself as a “half-stupid zombie” due to the drug’s impact and attributes bad investments and a “stupid career” to the alleged drugging [1-5, 7, 8, 10]. This alleged cognitive impairment serves as a crucial element in his narrative, explaining his perceived inability to effectively confront his alleged abusers and his susceptibility to financial exploitation [1-10].
  • Docility and Submissiveness: Smedema alleges that ketamine made him docile and submissive, hindering his ability to question or resist instructions from individuals like his wife and Duijs [1-6, 8, 10-12]. He describes exhibiting “dog-like” behavior, suggesting a complete loss of autonomy and agency [1, 3-6, 10, 11]. This alleged submissiveness is central to his accusations, as it explains his perceived inability to fight back against the alleged manipulation and control exerted by the conspirators [1-6, 8, 10-12].
  • Memory Loss and Amnesia: Smedema claims that ketamine caused significant memory loss and amnesia, making it difficult to recall specific events or piece together the alleged conspiracy against him [1-6, 8, 10, 11]. This memory impairment, a recurring theme in his accusations, hinders his efforts to build a case against his alleged abusers and adds to the complexity of proving his claims [1, 3-5, 10, 11]. He also notes that ketamine causes memory loss of up to ten minutes before administration, essentially creating a blackout period around events, making it easier for the alleged conspirators to manipulate him [1-4, 10, 13, 14].
  • Physical Symptoms: Smedema links ketamine to various physical symptoms, such as heart palpitations and hyperventilation attacks, further contributing to his distress and potentially serving as evidence of the alleged drugging [1, 3-6, 10, 11].
  • Increased Vulnerability to Other Abuse: Smedema alleges that ketamine made him more susceptible to other forms of abuse, such as electroshock therapy and psychological manipulation [1-6, 8, 10, 11]. He believes the drug’s effects facilitated the alleged “brainwashing” and torture, making it more effective in repressing memories and controlling his behavior [1, 3-5, 10, 15].

Smedema’s claims of ketamine drugging are particularly concerning because they suggest a deliberate and insidious attempt to control his mental state and behavior. The alleged long-term administration of the drug, coupled with his detailed descriptions of its effects, raises serious questions about the potential role of medical professionals or individuals with access to ketamine in the alleged conspiracy. He describes how ketamine allegedly made him more susceptible to manipulation and control and allegedly facilitated electroshock torture’s effectiveness in repressing memories and altering his behavior [4, 11, 15]. He mentions being drugged with ketamine before alleged brainwashing sessions, describing the drug as instrumental in facilitating the abuse by inducing vulnerability and enabling secret torture sessions [4, 7, 11]. He alleges his wife’s sister, Klazien, also used ketamine in his coffee, allegedly to convince him he was crazy and to cancel his legal expenses insurance weeks before he needed it [4, 8]. He alleges that Jaap Duijs drugged him several times with ketamine and bragged about how he cunningly drugged and abused other girls with the drug [4, 12]. He also links ketamine, combined with other alleged abuses, to the destruction of his mental state [4, 16].

Antipsychotic Drugging:

In addition to ketamine, Smedema alleges that he was secretly drugged with antipsychotic medication, disguised as “baby aspirin” [1, 4, 6, 13, 16-30]. He claims this was done to impair his cognitive function, make him appear delusional, and undermine his fight against the alleged conspiracy [1, 4, 6, 13, 16-30]. This alleged drugging, combined with repeated psychiatric evaluations labeling him as delusional, allegedly reinforced “gaslighting” and made him doubt his sanity [1, 3, 23, 32–34, 40, 41, 92]. Smedema also claims that the alleged drugging with antipsychotics contributed to his financial ruin and social isolation [17, 31, 32]. A significant event occurred on March 24, 2022, at Hospital Marina Baixa in Spain, where an anesthesiologist revealed that the baby aspirin Smedema was prescribed was actually an antipsychotic medication [20]. He was unaware of this and insists that he is not delusional, but rather a victim of a top-level cover-up and conspiracy originating in the Netherlands [1, 20]. Smedema believes that the misrepresentation of his medication was a deliberate attempt to impair his cognitive function, make him appear delusional, and hinder his fight against the alleged conspiracy [1, 20]. This incident seemingly confirmed Smedema’s long-held belief that he was being secretly drugged with antipsychotics disguised as baby aspirin [20, 21]. Smedema attributes his perceived cognitive decline to the prolonged use of antipsychotic medication, claiming that his IQ, normally 135, was reduced to less than 100 due to the drugs [1, 20, 21]. He confronted Dr. Montoya about the baby aspirin being an antipsychotic, but she denied any knowledge of it [33].

Electroshock Therapy:

Electroshock therapy, a controversial treatment for severe mental illnesses, plays a prominent role in Smedema’s allegations. He claims to have been subjected to this therapy multiple times, characterizing it as a form of torture designed to repress his memories and manipulate his behavior [2, 4, 11, 34-36]. He alleges that electroshock therapy was used against him in the alleged conspiracy to repress his memories, alter his personality, and enforce a submissive, “dog-like” state [4, 5, 13, 16–22, 34]. The intent, he claims, was not therapeutic, but rather to inflict harm, control his behavior, and psychologically break him [4, 7, 37, 38]. He mentions extreme voltages (500 volts) and irregular frequencies (every 5-6 years) inconsistent with medical practice [4, 7, 35, 39]. He further describes the electroshock and drugging as part of his “mental kidnapping” [4, 20].

Smedema specifically accuses Professor Dr. Onno van der Hart, a renowned trauma psychologist, of administering the electroshock therapy [1, 2, 6–8, 34, 45]. He alleges that Van der Hart was complicit in the conspiracy, using the therapy to erase or alter Smedema’s memories and make him more compliant [1, 3, 4, 6, 15, 40]. Smedema often refers to Van der Hart as “Onno the Devil” or the “Dutch Mengele” due to the alleged brutality of the treatments [4, 8, 15, 40]. Smedema’s accusations against Van der Hart are particularly disturbing because they implicate a respected figure in the field of mental health in a campaign of abuse and silencing. These allegations raise serious ethical concerns about the potential misuse of electroshock therapy as a tool of coercion and control.

Smedema claims that the electroshock therapy was administered in various locations, including:

  • Sofia Hospital in Zwolle in 1975: Smedema alleges that Van der Hart drugged him and forced him to sign a document he was not allowed to read before subjecting him to electroshock therapy [12, 41]. He believes this document was used to legally justify the ongoing abuse and cover-up [12, 41].
  • Catral, Spain, in 2008: Smedema accuses Van der Hart and Duijs of torturing him with electroshock therapy at the villa of a former police officer named “Ad” [1, 12–14, 22, 46]. Ad reportedly characterized the electroshock treatment as “torture,” solidifying Smedema’s belief that the procedure was not therapeutic but rather a deliberate act of violence against him [16, 41].
  • Nightclub Pretty Woman, Benidorm, Spain, in 2010: Smedema alleges that he was subjected to electroshock torture at the nightclub, orchestrated by the Dutch AIVD (General Intelligence and Security Service) and potentially involving the Spanish secret service [17, 41].

Smedema describes a range of debilitating effects resulting from the alleged electroshock therapy:

  • Memory Repression and Manipulation: Smedema claims that the electroshock therapy was used to repress his memories of the alleged abuse, particularly concerning his wife’s alleged sexual exploitation [4, 11, 42]. He believes these treatments were not therapeutic but rather a form of torture designed to control him and prevent him from exposing the truth [4, 11, 42].
  • Personality Alteration and “Dog-like” Behavior: Smedema asserts that the electroshock treatments, combined with the alleged ketamine drugging, altered his personality and induced a submissive, “dog-like” state, further hindering his ability to confront his alleged abusers [6, 14–18, 34, 47, 61].
  • Psychological Trauma and Breakdown: Smedema describes experiencing severe psychological trauma as a result of the alleged electroshock treatments, including amnesia, repression, and a diminished sense of self [4, 11, 37, 42, 43]. He believes these treatments were part of a deliberate effort to break him psychologically and discredit his claims by making him appear delusional [6, 9, 16, 22–24, 26, 27, 34, 47, 61]. He claims he had to flee to Spain as an exile to protect himself against this alleged psychological damage [43].

Misdiagnosis and Treatment of Mental Illnesses:

Smedema claims that he was repeatedly misdiagnosed with mental illnesses, such as paranoia and schizophrenia, as part of the alleged conspiracy to discredit him [15–17, 48]. He believes that these diagnoses were deliberately fabricated to undermine his credibility and portray him as unreliable [44-46]. He alleges that the “delusional” label was intentionally fostered and disseminated by those involved in the conspiracy to dismiss his allegations as the product of a troubled mind [26, 44, 47]. Smedema argues that this labeling, reinforced by the forced medical interventions, created a self-fulfilling prophecy where his inability to provide concrete evidence was seen as further proof of his mental instability [26, 44]. This, according to Smedema, allowed the authorities to ignore his claims and maintain a facade of normalcy, effectively silencing him and protecting the alleged perpetrators [26]. Smedema’s allegations of misdiagnosis and inappropriate treatment raise concerns about the potential misuse of mental health diagnoses as a means of silencing dissent and discrediting individuals who challenge authority. He specifically accuses psychiatrist Bauke Koopmans and traumatologist Onno van der Hart of misdiagnosing him with delusional disorder, forcing him into psychiatric care, and administering antipsychotic drugs without his informed consent to further suppress his memory and discredit his claims [48].

Smedema believes that these medical manipulations, along with legal obstruction, financial manipulation, surveillance and harassment, and psychological warfare, are part of a larger plan to silence him and prevent him from exposing the truth [23]. It’s important to note that these are Smedema’s allegations and have not been independently verified. Smedema’s case, as he portrays it, highlights the potential for abuse when medical procedures are carried out without informed consent, transparency, and adherence to ethical guidelines [49, 50].
